Chapter Program
Fatherhood & Mentoring
Our longest-running commitment — structured mentoring that reaches young men from Harvey to South Holland.
Mentoring is Chi Lambda Lambda's longest-running initiative and now one of the Fraternity's mandated Fatherhood & Mentoring programs. It is a source of great pride for the chapter and its non-profit organization, The Uplift Foundation.
Project M.A.N.H.O.O.D.
Led by Bro. Marcus Taylor at Prairie Hills Junior High School in Markham, Project MANHOOD provides structured, bi-monthly mentoring for approximately 20 to 30 male students — leadership development, personal responsibility, and character building through facilitated discussion and positive male role modeling.
EMBODI partnership
In partnership with the Joliet Area South Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., chapter brothers support the EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program at Colin Powell Middle School — serving more than 125 students from multiple schools with workshops on professional appearance, personal presentation, scholarship, and long-term planning.
