Mattesson, IL — Members of the Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. presented Sieden Prairie Elementary School with a $1,000 donation and a new 3D printer during the Elementary School District 159 Board of Education meeting.
The gift marks the chapter's annual investment in the school and its students, and is intended to expand hands-on STEM learning — giving students access to design, prototyping, and fabrication tools that build the kind of technical fluency increasingly expected in high school and beyond.
The donation was made possible by the chapter's annual Coleman Love event, a signature fundraiser that supports Chi Lambda Lambda's youth and education programming across the South Suburbs. Proceeds from the event fund the chapter's ongoing work at Sieden Prairie, including the "Que-Corner" program, along with mentoring, community outreach, and violence prevention initiatives.
"Sieden Prairie has been a partner of this chapter for years, and this is about more than writing a check," said Karl D. Bryant, Basileus of Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter. "We want these students to see Black men showing up in their school, and we want them to have the tools to build something with their own hands."
The chapter was represented at the board meeting by members who presented the donation to district leadership and school administrators.
