On October 10, 2025, the Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter STEM Committee launched its To The Stars With S.T.E.M. program at the Homewood Public Library, welcoming a class of 25 students, with an additional session hosted at the Village of Hazel Crest Family Center.
The program introduced participants to foundational concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through hands-on learning. The Computer Components Workshop, led by Brother Ashley Russell, M.S. Ed., explored computer hardware, while the Paper Circuits Workshop, facilitated by Brother Karl Bryant, introduced basic principles of circuitry using conductive materials and LED lights.
Each session was structured to encourage participation, curiosity, and experiential learning, reflecting the chapter's commitment to academic enrichment and youth development.
